Montego Bay

Montego Bay is the second largest city in Jamaica and a gateway to many tourist attractions. Known as MoBay by the locals, it is centrally located on the northwest coast. It takes approximately 60 to 90 minutes to drive to Negril on the west end of the island and it is about a 2 hour drive to Ocho Rios on the northeast coast.  Stay with Glen in a new and secure development in Montego Bay (Check out the gallery). Glen's MoBay house rents for $45 per night. The weekly rate is $280. There is a $100 deposit to hold your reservation. All cancellations must be made 48 hrs. in advance (see picture at bottom right). 

 

There are several beautiful beaches in and around MoBay. Cornwall Beach is lively and happening. There are a variety of concessions and you can participate in water-sport activities. Walter Fletcher Beach is guarded from the surf and great for kids, it Glen's Mobay Houseoffers exceptional bathing and swimming opportunities.

 

Doctor’s Cove Beach was made famous when a group of doctors banded together to bathe there in 1906. It has crystal clear water fed by mineral springs at a delightful 78 degrees it is believed to have curative powers. There is a $5 fee with changing areas and dining options.

 

Visit Falmouth just outside MoBay and see the Bob Marley Experience and Theatre showing films on the life and work of Bob Marley. Bob Marley remains the most widely known and revered performer of reggae music, and is credited for helping spread Jamaican music to the worldwide audience. Choose from one of the island’s largest collections of gifts, souvenirs, T-shirts and other merchandise.
